Hobo Beans


1-pound ground beef
½ pound bacon, diced
1 28-ounce can baked beans
1 15-ounce can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 15-ounce can lima beans, drained and rinsed
2 onions, diced
1 cup ketchup
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 teaspoons mustard
Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste


In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and bacon,
stirring to crumble the beef, until the beef is cooked through and no
longer pink, about 5 minutes.
Drain excess grease, and transfer to a
slow cooker. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Cook on low 3-4 hours,
until thickened.
